How it started
CoatCheck did not start as a feature list. It started as a night that should have been simple — and was not.
Handwritten numbers on small slips. Hundreds of coats. When a guest came back without a ticket, staff dug through piles. This was not an exception — it was the system.
Guests order a drink from their phone. They tap to pay. Door lists live in a spreadsheet. The cloakroom — the last analog room in the building — was still running on paper.
We started with a staff app that works one-handed: print a tag, send an SMS ticket, look up a coat in seconds. Then venues asked for the rest of the night — door sales, wallet passes, a live view of the floor.
Coat check and event tickets belong together. Same guest, same night, same record. That is CoatCheck: the operations layer a modern venue should have had years ago.
