We offer a custom solution designed for the cloak room to improve the different scenarios in your business that makes it easy for your staff to handle your customers while they don't have to worry about losing their ticket and the valuables they have stored. Not only do we save you the time for hassling paper tickets but prevent losing customers belongings and improve the customer trust

1. Setup your business profile

After you have subscribed to the business starter plan, we need to enter our business name and other customization that are displayed across the app for tickets.

You can customize under AdministrationCustomize in your dashboard.

2. What are TAGS

A TAG is mostly a coat hanger or some label where the text is put on to identify the customer belongings along the ticket, in most cases its numbers but we support text based which is numbers and characters.

3. Setup and Requirements

  1. Mobile app (build into the CoatCheck app)
    • The mobile app support full functionality (Camera, NFC Reader)
  2. Business Console - web based mobile app optimized for tables and touchscreen devices
    • Requires:
    • 1. Camera Device (device camera or external USB camera)
    • 2. (Optional): NFC Reader (Only if you make use of the faster checkin for TAGS)
  3. (not suggested) Web dashboard - We support the functionality here but is scattered around the dashboard

3.1 Add additional members

You are able to invite your team members to give them access to create and redeem tickets. Under Administration → Team you can add additional team members via their email.

Note:

Currently the user needs to signup with email first before you can invite them, we enforce email registered only accounts to ensure security.

3.2 Setup Pre-Register

This feature is not required but we recommend it to use it to optionally make it easier.

We build this to make the transaction of getting the customer phone number without a self-service kiosk easier by having the customer fill in their phone number on a quick and easy onboarding webpage on coatcheck that helps the staff to not type the phone number.

Example:

  1. While the customer wait to get helped or is in line, they scan the QR code from the poster
  2. The QR code will open a coatcheck.app page to fill in their phone number and submits it.
  3. After submitting, they will see a QR code from the webpage and than wait until their turn to get helped by the staff
  4. The customer shows the QR code and the staff is able to scan the QR code with the Admin App and finish the transaction

    4.1. In case that the closed their webpage, the Staff is still able to see the pre-registered phone numbers

Setup your pre register:

  1. Visit the dashboard on coatcheck.app/business and click on Pre register on the left
  2. It will ask you to enable this feature
  3. You will see a button with Copy Options to either copy the public unique link or to a image for a scannable QR Code.

4. Get Started

In order to give out tickets to new customers we will need to send a SMS ticket which makes it easy to give out and as well to recover in case of emergency but we have addition features for SMS tickets.
