What Events is
Events is CoatCheck's admission product. You publish an event, guests buy paid tickets on a public page, and staff scan a QR at the door. It is not the cloakroom — that is Coat Check.

The loop
- Create and publish — name, timezone, venue, photo, and pricing tiers. Share a public link like
/e/summer-night-Ab12Cd34. - Guests buy online — they pick tiers, we hold the seats for 15 minutes, they pay on Stripe. Inventory does not oversell.
- Tickets go out — confirmation email with a PDF and QR. Signed-in buyers also open a pass under Tickets in their account.
- Scan at the door — staff check the QR. Voided tickets cannot enter. You can also check someone in by hand.
- Run the books — customers, transactions, refunds, and live stats (revenue, sold, check-in rate, remaining capacity).
What you need
- A paid CoatCheck plan — Starter, Growth, or Scale. See Billing & pricing.
- Stripe Connect with charges enabled before you can sell cards. Same Connect account you use for online payments.
- An event timezone. Start, end, sale windows, tickets, and the public page all use that zone.
Paid tickets only
Tiers must be at least 50¢. There is no public free claim or RSVP path.
What it is not
- Not cloakroom tickets. Those are SMS or app tickets for stored items — see Coat Check.
- Event tickets are emailed as a PDF. They are not sent by SMS.
- Apple Wallet and Google Wallet are not available yet.
- Refunds void the tickets. Sold counts are not restocked automatically.
Next
- Get started — Connect, create the event, share the page, and run the door.
- Billing — plans and per-ticket fees.
- Invite your team — staff who will scan at the door.
